Peregrine

I am close to completing my 12th wall doll so I thought I would photo just a tiny bit today...

It's a Peregrine Falcon that sits on the arm of a very lovely forest creature. Her name will be Peregrine following the tradition of using the letter P to begin each wall doll's name. This little falcon is just 4 inches tall from the very tip of its blinder feather to claws (which I will be cutting back once I determine how to attach it). I initially made the bird without the blinder so it actually does have  eyes but then didn't think it looked formidable enough so I attached the headgear. I like it better now.

Wolves

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life.  “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “ It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.  One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego”. He continued, “the other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.  The same fight is going on inside you – and every other person, too.
The grandson though about it and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

WIP- these wolves are almost finished. I just put the color on the seated one and have not completed some of the detail work but as I had a Tart's meeting yesterday and shared them at the meeting I feel it is ok to post today. Mary Ellen Maney, a member of the Tart's, supplied the above story which I do love.
